PETZL SHUNT ASCENDER - S
Designed for the zip line enthusiast who needs to climb a series of steps or ladder rungs to reach their launch platform. It's a bit intimidating to climb up ten or more feet without being tied to a rope to prevent you from falling. The Petzl Shunt Ascender can be attached to a safety rope allowing the rider to climb a ladder or steps without risk of falling. Should the rider slip or fall, friction is applied which acts just like a brake.
Features
- A mechanical rope brake device for climbing to platforms that are higher than four feet off the ground.
- Easy to retrieve, simply attach a string beforehand to the Ascender and from the ground give a little tug to the string after the rider has already launched off the zip line.
- Keeps riders connected to the rope until they reach the launch platform.
- Works with single and double ropes up to 10 mm.
